Mozilla has released their third beta version of Firefox 4.0 with support for Windows 7’s multitouch technology and JavaScript improvements.
The development of Firefox 4.0 continues with Mozilla having now released a third beta version for testing. This version comes with native multitouch support under Windows 7. This release is mainly addressed at Web developers who have been asked to use the API iodine’s for tactile events management on certain Windows 7 machines.
The other new feature in this beta 3 release of Firefox 4.0 is improvement to the JavaScript execution. There is also a new method of representing the JavaScript values (complete, character chain...). According to Mozilla, this allows them to more effectively treat the heavy digital code used for graphics and animations.
With the beta version of Firefox 4.0, Mozilla has implemented a React button situated to the right of the address bar so that users can send in their feedback. According to Mozilla, the half a million testers of Fx 4.0 have lead to close to 3500 daily feedback submissions!
