Duplicate a tab in Firefox

January 27th, 2011 - 05:10 am ET by D. T.

It is possible that you may need to have a second copy of an internet site open when you are consulting train times compared to prices, etc. or even have two products open on the same retailer’s web site so that you can compare their characteristics.

One solution consists of opening a new tab and copy/pasting the contents from the address bar. But there is a simpler and faster method in the Firefox browser.

You simply need to hold down the CTRL key on the keyboard and click on the page refresh button. A new tab will then open with the same content. You can click as many times as you like to duplicate the tab.
