Using their 26th Annual Users’ Conference as a forum to share
with customers the future direction of the company’s loan
origination software, residential
loan servicing software and commercial
loan servicing software, Financial Industry Computer Systems, Inc.
(FICS®), hosted more than 200 customers in Dallas for three
days of educational seminars, training sessions and forums on product
development.
The centerpiece of the conference was sharing information about the next
generation of FICS’ origination and servicing software. Attendees
learned more about the new platforms’ sharable services, which are built
on a .NET Framework that include a rich Windows® Presentation
Foundation user interface. FICS’ Loan Producer® customers,
whose meetings focused on detailing the specifics of the new system,
will be the first to utilize the new software, with Mortgage Servicer™
and Commercial Servicer® customers soon to follow. The new
Loan Producer system was also shown in the servicing sessions as a
preview of what to expect with the next generation of servicing software.
“I’ve been in this business for over 30 years, and FICS’ software has
been the best I’ve ever used,” said Elizabeth Conrado, vice president of
Residential Lending for Long Beach, Calif.-based LBS Financial Credit
Union. “We are extremely excited to get the new Loan Producer! The
system will be even more user–friendly, and will help us continue
to improve our efficiencies within the credit union.”
Dawn Gibbs, FICS’ CEO and chairman of the board, shared with customers
how the new products and services build on the best of FICS’ past, while
taking advantage of new technologies.
“We have kept the best things about the original and added to them to
build something completely new – and better,” Gibbs said in her
opening night speech. “The transition of FICS’ solutions to shareable
services using the .Net Framework enables more flexible configurations,
scalability, and endless opportunities to take advantage of the latest
in computer and software technology. It takes time to get there, but the
future holds exciting things.”
Susan Graham, FICS’ president and COO, provided additional insights into
the many enhancements FICS has made over the past year, while
recognizing the key role FICS’ customers have played in the evolution of
the company’s services.
“Each customer is a giant whose shoulders we stand on. It is their
feedback and experiences that we build on,” Graham said in her speech.
“Even more so, it is the values they share with us – a commitment to
quality, great service, and providing the best value possible – that not
only assists in building FICS’ software of the future, but makes our
conference a great success year after year!”
Attendees also participated in a program of activities, workshops, panel
discussions, demonstrations and educational training sessions. The 2013
Users’ Conference will be held April 3-5, in Dallas.
