Flew up to Payson with some friends today. (Video)

Took some friends that I use to work with when I worked at IBM up to
Payson KPAN for breakfast this morning.
I was kind of bummed with I woke up and looked outside and saw the
overcast but it wasn't bad enough to cancel the flight so we all met
at my airport Deer Valley KDVT and hopped in Archer N354MA and set out
for the 50nm trip to Payson.
The ride was smooth as glass. One nice thing about hazy visibility is
that it usually means the air is going to be calm. Mike set up front
with me and Matt in the back for the ride up and I gave Mike the
controls shortly after takeoff.
He had never flown a plane and really enjoyed it.
On the ride home Matt was up front and I let him have a turn at the
controls too. He use to install avionics many years ago and have been
up in small planes many times but not behind the yoke much at all.

The first video is just up approaching Payson KPAN and landing.
We were coming in from the South so I overflew the field and entered a
right downwind for rwy 24.
I was way high so I slipped it a bit to get down faster but was still
a little fast so I chewed up a good bunch of runway but there was
plenty left and it was up hill so got it down with a smooth landing
and off to breakfast we went.

The second video is the takeoff and enroute flight back to Deer Valley
KDVT. I had Matt flying most of the way so I took the camera and got
some good video of the snow on the Mazatal peaks and of the panel
etc.. As we got close to DVT I gave the camera to Matt and took back
over for another high approach and long float but otherwise smooth
landing.
