Force the activation of all processor cores

It is possible that the Windows operating system doesn’t take advantage of all of your available processor cores, therefore not providing the systems full potential. If this is the case, then you can force the activation of all cores at boot. Here is how it can be done.

Click on the Start button and in the real time search field, enter “msconfig” before clicking on the corresponding result.

Select the Boot section and click on the “Advanced options” button.

In the new window which is displayed, check the “Number of processors” box an enter the number of processor cores present in the system.

IYou now just need to click on OK, check the box titled “Make all boot settings permanent” before pressing OK and rebooting the computer.
