FSV Payment Systems, Inc., a leading provider of network branded prepaid
debit card products and processing services, has joined the fight to end
hunger by partnering with networking food banks of Feeding America®,
the nation’s largest domestic hunger relief organization as part of an
effort to feed people in need and promote public awareness of hunger
initiatives. The donations collected from the FSV Community of Giving
campaign equated to 4,646 meals and will be shared by the Houston Food
Bank and Second Harvest of North Florida in communities where FSV
Payment Systems employees live and work. Additionally, the funds
collected by FSV Payment Systems will support Houston Food Bank and
Second Harvest of North Florida operations this fiscal year, including
helping to acquire, process and distribute food to partner agencies;
expand food programs; and increase community outreach and nutrition
education.
“FSV Payment Systems is honored to support the Houston Food Bank and
Second Harvest North Florida in the communities we call home,” said
Steve Fussell, President of FSV Payment Systems. “We are proud of our
employees who selflessly gave their time and energy in support of our
corporate hunger relief initiatives. At FSV, we believe we can make a
difference.”
“This donation comes at a critical time for Second Harvest North
Florida,” Executive Director Bruce Ganger said. “We want to thank FSV
Payment Systems for its support of the mission of feeding hungry people
here in Jacksonville and throughout north Florida. This donation will
make an immediate impact. Thousands of families will have a meal on
their table as a result of this. We intend to put it to good use
immediately.”
“Community support in today's fragile economic environment is essential
and will help provide food and vital services to the 140,000 southeast
Texans who receive food through the Houston Food Bank," said Brian
Greene, Houston Food Bank President/CEO. “We are grateful for FSV’s
partnership in helping families and individuals who struggle to put food
on the table.”
