Global
Knowledge, a member of CWNP’s Authorized Learning
Partner program, today announced the availability of three new courses
that cover enterprise Wi-Fi fundamentals, administration, and security
and help students prepare for CWNP wireless certifications.
In Enterprise
Wi-Fi Fundamentals (CWTS), students will gain the
knowledge needed to enter into or advance within the wireless networking
industry. From basic RF theory and regulatory requirements to
implementation of WLAN devices, students will get up-to-speed on the
latest in 802.11 technologies in a practical way. This two-day course
helps students prepare for Certified Wireless Technology Specialist
(CWTS) certification, and it is available live over the Internet in a
virtual classroom and as a private on-site course that can be tailored
to the needs of a student’s organization.
In the hands-on Enterprise
Wi-Fi Administration (CWNA), students will learn to
successfully survey, install, and administer enterprise-class Wi-Fi
networks as they prepare for Certified Wireless Network Administrator
(CWNA) certification. Students will gain a full understanding of how
radio frequency affects networking so they can perform site surveys,
design a high-performance network, and protect both users and sensitive
data from potential intruders. Students will explore advanced topics,
such as VoWLAN deployments, seamless mobile connectivity, and detailed
wireless frame analysis, and they will use enterprise-class hardware and
software tools during live lab exercises, simulating a state-of-the-art
production environment. This five-day course is available in classrooms,
live over the Internet in virtual classrooms, and as a private on-site
course that can be tailored to the needs of a student’s organization.
Students in the five-day Enterprise
Wi-Fi Security (CWSP) will learn to install and
configure wireless networks for optimal security. Using the latest
enterprise wireless LAN security and auditing equipment in this hands-on
course, students will learn, in detail, the most up-to-date WLAN
intrusion and DoS tools and techniques. They will learn about
functionality of the 802.11i amendment to the 802.11 standard, the
inner-workings of each EAP type used with wireless LANs today, and every
class and type of WLAN security solution available on the market, from
wireless intrusion prevention systems to wireless network management
systems. This course helps students prepare for Certified Wireless
Security Professional (CWSP) certification and is available in
classrooms and as a private on-site course that can be tailored to the
needs of a student’s organization.
