Graphics Interfering With Text

When I use graphic files as signatures in letters, even with a transparent background, the graphic interferes with the text. Any text behind or in front of the graphic appears washed out.

Any ideas how to resolve this would be appreciated. I've tried a variety of graphic formats, including photoshop, jpg, tiff, etc. There are 200 dpi. I've been doing this successfully for years, so I'm not sure why this is a problem. Perhaps it's version 2008?

I generally tell people to never to put pictures of signatures into any
documents under any circumstances, much less to guarantee authenticity
of a document. Right-click and Save As Picture (or use a screen capture)
makes the signature available perfectly to anyone who wants to forge a
document. If you have a known history of doing this, your ability to
guarantee the authenticity of any document is zero. You are making
identity theft so easy it is incredible.

If you want to guarantee authenticity, the author needs to do the
sending from their own email account, and they have to use a digital
signature (supported in Entourage), which is something purchased from
Thawte, VeriSign or or other certificate provider. You can get free
certificates after you do a lot of work.

That said, you probably need to adjust the text wrapping. Select the
picture and look in the Formatting Palette for the text wrapping options.
