Noblis is pleased to report that its client, the U.S. General Services
Administration (GSA), has released the second version of its popular GSA
Sustainable Facilities Tool (SFTool). Noblis has been the prime
contractor conducting development of the SFTool since its inception.
Initially launched in 2011, SFTool.gov
has expanded into an immersive online environment that encourages
exploration of sustainable building principles, materials, and systems
to aid decision making. SF
Mobile, available on IOS, Android, and Blackberry platforms,
provides mobile access to hundreds of SFTool users. The
Green Products Compilation (GPC), led by GSA’s Federal Acquisition
Service (FAS), provides green procurement support and drives over 5,000
unique users to SFTool.gov
every month. In June, visits to SFTool.gov originated from 61 countries
and SF Mobile recorded its 1400th download.
SFTool Version 2.0 expands upon the documented success of the SFTool
technology platform to present new content including whole building
systems, integrative design, and life cycle approaches. Enhanced search,
an updated interface, and new interactive user guides make it even
easier for agencies to adopt SFTool as a project and training resource.
“Noblis congratulates GSA’s OGP Office of Federal High-Performance Green
Buildings team and the FAS GPC team for having the foresight to create
such an innovative tool to help the public and private sectors achieve
their sustainability goals,” said Mile Corrigan, Senior Manager, Noblis.
“We are honored to be working with this distinguished team.”
