HELP! No display when connecting monitor to a running server

May 03rd, 2011 - 11:58 pm ET by Guest | Report spam
Monitor will get no display when connecting to the running server. Of
course, a reboot will get correct display, but I don't want to reboot
since it is providing service. My server is a 64bit CentOS, working
under no graphic mode, only text mode. Monitor only displays when it is
connected before the server powers on.
Maybe I need to install some package. Please help!

Have you tried pressing a key, in case it's some kind of screensaver?
