Like everyone, we like to have the power of hiding certain files so that they are not visible by anyone but yourself.

This is absolutely possible with only the administrator account being able to see them. How? Simply by selecting the option that allows you to view hidden filesthat are inaccessible to other accounts (guest, user,...).

Here is how it can be done (you should n ote that these changes should be performed with an account possessing administration rights):

Click “Start”, “Run” and type “Regedit”. Press OK to access the Windows Registry.

Go to the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer
\Advanced\Folder

Here you will see the Hidden key that contains two sub keys called NOHIDDEN and SHOWALL.

Right click on the Hidden key and select “Authorisation”.

The following window will open.
