hotmail

hi all,

i find myself in need to use a hotmail address, cept i'm buggered if
i can find the option to do it. my connection goes through a proxy which
had to be set up in my AntiVirus, do i have to fiddle with this as well.

am using win98se with O/express6.

Yes, you can use OE with Hotmail. But not with the newer free accounts.
You have to have a paid Hotmail account. Hotmail made that change
around the beginning of this year. Previous free accounts are
grandfathered in.

If you have a paid account, you add the account via Tools, Accounts,
Add, and select HTTP as the server type, not the default POP3.

Yes, it is a new one.
I believed one could be set-up via o/e express, (i have o/e6) & i was
sure
i had seen an option within o/e to do this.
I say this because if memory serves, i reckon i even set one up about
4yrs
ago, but my memory isnt what it was.
