A simple and relatively cheap procedure, that only requires a Windows 2000 server license and some bandwidth to allow an unlimited number of clients (limited only by our hardware anyway), unlike RealNetworks which offers a license by the number of simultaneous connections.

In this Windows Media tutorial, all screen captures and explanations have been performed on a Windows 2000 server.

There is nothing to worry about in the first step, you just need to use the “add/remove windows components” in the “add/remove programs” under the control panel.

Make sure that you have your copy of Windows 2000 server CD, or at lease have the i386 folder copied to your hard disk, as you are going to be asked for this.
