HP Powers Global Expansion for London’s Spencer Hart

HP (NYSE:HPQ) today announced that high-end tailor Spencer Hart is deploying HP Converged Infrastructure to enable its global expansion.

Spencer Hart designs made-to-measure bespoke suits and other men’s fashion for a client list that includes David Beckham, James Corden, Lawrence Dallaglio and Robbie Williams. Capitalizing on growing customer demand, the company decided to open concessions in major retail stores worldwide and a new London flagship store this month.

To support business growth, Spencer Hart needed to replace its rigid, outdated infrastructure. With HP and HP Gold Partner LAN2LAN, Spencer Hart deployed a cost-effective IT infrastructure for fast, secure data management across all its operations.

• High-availability HP E2510 network switches provide fast, secure communications between Spencer Hart’s head office and branches.
• Secure data protection is ensured with an HP Ultrium 920 SAS tape drive that automatically creates backup tapes for secure off-site archival storage in the event of a disaster.

The whole HP Converged Infrastructure is easily managed by Spencer Hart’s small IT team, and underpinned by a support contract with HP Technology Services for ongoing performance and reliability.
