HTC’s first Tegra 3 quad core tablet could be the Quattro – whose technical characteristics have appeared on the Web.
Peter Chou said it himself, there will be a new HTC tablet released early next year, with the tablet to stand apart from its competition. We naturally think of a tablet powered by a Tegra 3 quad core processor (just unveiled), while the manufacturer could also unveil a smartphone that uses this same processor – the HTC Edge.
The site PocketNow, as usual, has provided the initial unofficial information about this tablet. It is named the HTC Quattro and will have a 10.1" 1280 x 768 pixel display, with an NVidia Tegra 3 and 1 GB of RAM.
2012 will be quad core
This future table twill come with 16 GB of storage space, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, as well as a range of sensors and Beats Audio quality sound. The tablet should be less than 9 mm thick and come with a 1.3 mega pixel camera lens on the front for videoconferencing, along with another lens capable of recording 1080p video.
The HTC Quattro tablet could be a good occasion to integrate new services, like the VOD HTC Watch HD video viewing service, and even the integration of DropBox to provide additional online storage space.
An announcement about this tablet could be made at the MWC 2012 show in Barcelona in February, unless HTC wants to hit hard right at the start of the year at the CES 2012 show.
