A new Android Smartphone created by HTC has appeared on the web – the Runnymede.
While it hasn’t yet been officially unveiled by the Taiwanese manufacturer, the Runnymede has already made an appearance, with the availability of a photo and most of the technical characteristics.
With a size of 13.3 x 7.1 x 1 centimetre, this is a tactile device running the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system with the HTC Sense UI 3.5 layer. The phone is powered by a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Scorpion processor paired with 768 MB of memory.
It has also been announced with a large 4.7 inch Super LCD tactile multi-touch screen with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, 2G/3G/Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity, a micro-USB 2.0 port, a GPS module, electronic compass, 8 mega pixel camera lens with autofocus/double flash LED/geotagging, a 1.3 Mega pixel camera lens on the front, a multimedia player, FM RDS radio and 16 or 32 GB of internal memory (no microSD slot available).
Two black and white colour tones will be available for the HTC Smartphone, with it also appearing that in addition to the Android version there could also be Hitan under Windows Phone 7 Mango which was recently released.
