HTC calls a press conference on the 19th of September – could we see a new Windows Phone?

With the first pieces of information starting to emerge on the web about HTC’s future Windows Phone smartphones, the manufacturer has called a press conference on the 19th of September in New York.
September is shaping up as a busy month for the announcement of new mobile products and services, with the IFA 2012 show kicking things off with already unveiled smartphones and tablets.
With Nokia World opening its doors today to unveil the first Lumia range of Windows Phone 8 smartphones and Apple planning an event for the 12th of September to unveil the iPhone 5, HTC can’t remain stationary.
the company has therefore started sending invitations for an event on the 19th of September in New York, with this possibly to be to unveil their new Windows Phone 8 smartphones.
Numerous rumours suggest announcements surrounding Windows 8/Windows Phone 8 being made by the Taiwanese manufacturer in the first half of September, with the products to be released to the market by November 2012.
Windows 8 will be released on the 26th of October, with Windows Phone 8 to follow immediately after, with its expected launch date being the 29th of October. Details about the dual core HTC Accord smartphone have already been leaked, with the product to be situated in the middle of the range. The HTC Zenith will be a top of the line product, while the HTC Rio will be an entry level model according to a leaked roadmap.
