The International Air Transport Association (IATA) To Present a Blueprint for Improved Aviation Security

You are cordially invited to a press briefing hosted by Tony Tyler, IATA Director General and CEO and Dave Barger, JetBlue Airways CEO and President on 5 March 2013 at 1:00 PM. The press briefing will be held at the Marriott Brooklyn Bridge hotel, where the IATA AVSEC World conference, “Risk and Regulation - Striking the Right Balance,” will be held.

Against the backdrop of ever increasing passenger numbers, Mr. Tyler will address the need to find a way to get people through security faster and with less hassle—with no compromise on effectiveness. Mr. Tyler will discuss the Checkpoint of the Future roadmap to evolve airport passenger security screening to a more sustainable, efficient and effective process that leverages new technologies.

Accredited journalists will be permitted to attend all sessions of the AVSEC World conference, in addition to the morning keynote speeches on 5 March.
