LaserBand Improves Wristband Contract with Novation

LaserBand, the worldwide leader in patient identification wristbands, has renewed a contract with Novation, the leading healthcare supply contracting company, to provide proprietary patient identification (ID) bands and related products. Effective April 1, 2011, the agreement will make additional LaserBand wristband designs available to nearly 25,000 VHA Inc. and the University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC) member organizations and 5,500 Provista members covering 28,000 sites served by Novation. The agreement, at new specially negotiated rates, includes four pricing tiers based upon commitment level and an additional tier for Novation Academic Medical Centers.

LaserBand is unique in its industry, holding twice as many patient identification wristband patents as all competitors combined.
