Magically appearing fictitious drives

I was working on hooking up my thermaltake blackx box and got it working
finally.
But now I have two additional drives that won't go away.
Both are marked as "removable disk".
These drives were not there before the box was installed.
How can I get rid of them?

Even sfter undocking, and a restart, they remain.

What the heck am I talking about?
A nice little gadget that allows two hard drives to be accessed as an
external drive. Which can be swapped out any time you need to.

What do you mean by "additional drives"? Do you mean in addition to the
two drives in the Thermaltake box? The drives in the Thermaltake box
should show up as long as it is plugged in or tuned on. If it's
unplugged, they should disappear.
