Connecting to digital video
From the video card to an LCD/Plasma TV:
Recent video cards will have one, or possibly even two digital outputs: a DVI and/or a HDMI connector. From memory, these connectors allow you to connect a PC to a monitor or LCD/Plasma TV screen. The digital video signal is of a far superior quality then the analogue one, with there being no signal loss, analogue/digital conversion or picture resizing for the picture to be displayed on your television. This is therefore the ideal connection type and the one that is recommended.

DVI to HDMI :
HDMI to HDMI :
Like with a CRT screen, you simply need to activate the TV output option on your video card. Next, change the channel on the TV to the one that corresponds to the input method. With a flat screen, you won’t need to restart your PC for the changes to take effect.
Audio connection
For an analogue audio connection, you will need to connect the PC’s sound card to the televisions audio inputs (RCA or SCART). The easiest thing to do is connect the headphone jack or speakers output directly to the televisions audio input ports. For a digital connection, you will easily be able to use the HDMI cable which carries both the audio and video signals as well as a home cinema amplifier.
