Media Center : All solutions for your television

1) If you have a remote control, in Remote select the tab which corresponds to your device. To activate a Microsoft remote control, check the box "Use Microsoft MCE remote or keyboard" box.

2) The configuration of the radios is more or less laborious. Either you click on the folder from your playlist (ASX, PLS, M3U…) created with WMP, Winamp, iTunes or any other program. Or you enter your web radios on a case by case basis. To do this, click on Radio, Stations and Add. Enter the name of the station in "Stream", the genre (this is optional) and finally the URL address of the station. You can find a radio guide at this site http://flux.radio.free.fr.

3) MediaPortal supports a wide variety of TV cards. The list is available at this address. Both Analogue and digital (HDTV, satellite, digital TV) tuner cards are compatible. By selecting Television, Capture Cards and Add you will be able to add your device so as to take advantage of the Electronic Program Guide functions like the digital recorder, which records your favourite programs to the hard drive …

4) This Media Center also manages a large number of plugins. In "Plugins" you will be able to find everything you need: games (Sudoku, Tetris), Weather, Wikipedia, planning… Simply click on the corresponding icon and the "Enable" button to activate the function.

5) If everything goes as planned after having launched Media Portal, you will be able to browse through your multimedia content and launch photo slideshows, videos and audio playlists without any problems.
