Kim Dotcom: A Mega year in 2013 or broken promises?

December 22nd, 2012 - 05:28 am ET by J. G.

Kim Dotcom is continuing his communication plans for the launch of MegaUpload’s successor on the 19th of January 2013. After screen shots, photos of the services have now been published.

Kim Dotcom isn’t slowing down for Christmas. He is continuing his communications on Twitter, with the site still being planned for release on the 19th of January 2013. This date has been selected after American authorities shut down MegaUpload on the 19th of January 2012.

Kim Dotcom has stated that "2013 will be a Mega year" with the launch of Mega sites including the Megabox music service. He believes that procurers could even be charges in the MegaUpload case, sarcastically continuing "I could even become thin."

Could these resolutions for 2013 already be broken? Some people are wondering whether there is no service coming, with these announcements simply being communications to remain in the press.

To give additional credit to the launch of Mega, Kim Dotcom has already published screen shots of the coming service. Earlier this week, he also uploaded a photo of numerous server racks that will each be filled with 720TB of data.

The latest tweet published by Kim Dotcom announced the signing of an agreement with Mega shareholders. It was paired with a photo taken at the event.
