MHL,
LLC, the entity responsible for administering the MHL Consortium and
the adoption, licensing and promotion of the MHL™ (Mobile
High-Definition Link) specification, today announced that the MHL
Consortium is sponsoring, in conjunction with the AT&T Developer Program
and Casual Connect, the upcoming Mobile App Hackathon, July 20 – 22,
2012 in Seattle. This is a special Mobile App Hackathon designed for
attendees to build gaming focused mobile apps and will occur this
weekend ahead of the Casual Connect Gaming Conference, July 24-26.
Representatives from the Consortium will also be available to meet with
members of the casual games industry at the Casual Connect conference
itself.
The MHL Consortium will provide attendees with a first-hand look at MHL
technology and assist developers in creating cutting-edge mobile games
that take advantage of MHL’s features. Mobile developers are encouraged
to deliver an interactive gaming experience by transforming mobile
devices into game consoles and controllers. MHL technology can deliver
games on the big screen with virtually zero lag, all while charging the
phone.
