Microsoft continues to release versions of their various applications on mobile platforms. After OneNote and SkyDrive, it’s now Microsoft Lync 2010 which has appeared on Android and Windows Phone.
Microsoft is releasing mobile applications at a great rate at the end of this year, with access to their services on the Windows Phone, Android and iOS. After OneNote on the iPad and SkyDrive on the iPhone, it’s now Microsoft Lync 2010 which has been launched on both the Windows Phone and Android.
This free application offers a range of communication services derived from Lync Server solutions which are addressed at enterprises. It will allow you to verify your colleague’s availability in real time, with a choice of contact method: instant messaging, email or telephone.

It also allows you to participate in simplified Lync teleconferences, without having to enter a complicated conference code on a mobile device, while simultaneously transferring calls to the Voice Enterprise number (Lync ID).
It should be noted that it integrates the TLS protocol and secures telecommunications without requiring the uses of a VPN. The application is freely available for download on the Android Market portal and Windows Phone MarketPlace. Versions for iOS and Symbian will be made available later.
