Is she for real? If ever there was a juvenile, wrong-footed and snobby
piece of writing, this is it! Instead of advocating the true advantages
of 7 (such as they are), we are treated with this tripe:
"Think about phones – would you even carry a flip phone now?"
- Duh, what *else* would I carry? Why would I want an annoying
smartphone? I use it to talk, and (very rarely) to snap pictures of
interesting things I see, not to surf or watch movies or listen to music.
"would you still claim that Destiny’s Child is your top favorite band"
- *Why* would I ever claim such come-lately no-name to be my favorite
band? That honor went then, and still does, to the Beatles!
"Think about hair – are you still rocking the same cut?"
- *What* other cut would I be sporting? It is the one that goes with
who I am, and I don't change overnight! Admittedly, I changed the cut of
my beard a little bit since then. :)
"Why then are you still on Windows XP when Windows 7 is so much better?
Now you can use Snap to compare open windows, you can edit movies in a
few simple steps, pin your favorite websites to your taskbar with
Internet Explorer 9, effortlessly create screen “snips” and more!"
- As if I can't do the things from this list that are worth doing
even now in XP! And the rest are just bleh. If I pinned my favorite
sites to the taskbar, there wouldn't be place left for anything else! I
never felt a need to compare open windows! And I can very nicely edit
videos now, thankyouverymuch, and I'm sure I wouldn't get the results I
want from the edit in "a few simple steps", no matter XP or 7.
You'd be crazy to e-mail me with the crazy. But leave the div alone.
