MIR3,
Inc., the innovator of real-time Intelligent Notification™ and
response technology, today announced that it has expanded its
partnership with Sybase
365, the global leader in mobile messaging and mobile commerce
services. This means that MIR3, who previously used Sybase 365 for all
of its international short message service (SMS) traffic, is now running
all SMS traffic—national and international—through the company. MIR3
offers a strong, two-way messaging platform that helps users communicate
in the most effective way possible during both urgent and non-urgent
situations.
MIR3 provides important message delivery technology that gives
businesses the ability to send notifications and receive responses over
a wide range of devices including mobile phones, landlines, pagers,
email, fax, Blackberry PIN-to-PIN and SMS. According to data, SMS usage
by MIR3 customers has increased by 476 percent in the last two years. In
total, 9.2 million messages were sent via SMS in 2009 and 2010 using
MIR3 technology. To support this traffic increase, MIR3 has joined
forces with Sybase 365 to ensure customers around the world can alert
recipients instantly during critical situations using SMS.
“Sybase 365 has been a trusted partner for international SMS traffic,
and we’re thrilled to leverage their outstanding technology for our
domestic SMS traffic,” stated Larry Kettler, executive vice president,
sales and marketing, MIR3. “The company’s combination of mature products
and services, coverage region, and vendor flexibility all proved a
perfect match for our needs.”
MIR3 has worked with Sybase 365 for two years; the company initially
delivered international SMS messages to MIR3 customers. Thanks to the
proven service, responsiveness, and reliability of Sybase 365, MIR3 has
awarded all domestic messaging to the company.
“Sybase 365 continues to further its relationship with MIR3, delivering
high performance alerting services to enterprises, municipalities, and
universities,” said Gregory Dunn, vice president Product Management,
Hosted Services & Business Solutions for Sybase. “We’re pleased to
expand our partnership to support MIR3 in delivering their domestic and
international SMS messaging.”
MIR3 solutions are used for business continuity and disaster recovery,
emergency notification, IT alerting and critical business operations.
