US: Motorola Photon 4G - Android and CDMA/GSM/WiMAX

L'opérateur US Sprint distribuera un nouveau smartphone Motorola Photon 4G d'ici la fin du mois de juillet qui a la particularité d'être compatible avec les réseaux CDMA et GSM, ainsi qu'avec son réseau haut débit mobile WiMAX.
By betting on the CDMA and WiMAX network technologies, US carrier Sprint has created some problems for their clients who want international access. The handsets designed for Sprints network are not operational with GSM networks, with the large majority of mobile networks (more than 80%) using this technology.
The Motorola Photon 4G, unveiled on the 15th of July, has tried to address this problem by offering CDMA/EV-DO and GSM/EDGE compatibility, in addition to access to Sprints WiMAX high speed mobile network which is currently being deployed in the United States
This is a Smartphone which is 127 x 67 x 12.2 mm in size, weighing 158 g. It comes with a large 4.3" display with qHD resolution (960 x 540 pixels), WiFi connectivity (with DLNA support and the mobile hotspot function), Bluetooth, FM Radio, a GPS module (with electronic compass) and 16 GB of internal memory (extendable via the microSDHC port).
Characteristics The Motorola Photon 4G is equipped with a 1 GHz dual core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor and 1GB of RAM, an 8 mega pixel camera lens on the back and a 1 VGA lens on the front for video conferencing. It runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread, providing you with access to hundreds of thousands of applications on the Android Market.
This is a handset which will also meet company needs with the integration of company security policies, remote management of the Smartphone and data encryption.
A range of accessories will allow you to exploit the entertainment options while also using it to increase productivity on the road (keyboard, dock, recharge options, protection cases...). The Motorola Photon 4G will be available at Sprint the 31st of July for199 .99 dollars when taking a subscription.
