MSI has announced their Wind U160, a netbook promising excellent battery life.
Equipped with a rear-lit 10.1 inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1 024 x 600 pixels, a response time of 8 milliseconds and a two speaker audio system, this netbook operates on an Intel Atom N450 processor running at 1.66 GHz with 1 GB of DDR2-667 RAM.
The device comes equipped with a Fast Ethernet port, WiFi 802.11 n wireless networking, 250 GB hard drive running at 5400 rpm, 4-in-one memory card reader, two USB 2.0 ports, a hybrid eSATA/USB port and Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity.
To this we can add the presence of a VGA output port, integrated microphone, 2 Mega pixel webcam and audio output for headphones.
Everything is crammed into a case that is 26 x 18 x 3.1 centimetres weighing 1.1 kilo, while the operating system is Windows 7 Starter Edition powered by a 6 cell Lithium-Ion battery which assures up to 15 hours of battery life.
This new MSI netbook has an announced price of 399 dollars.
