Fotopedia, the publisher of popular iOS apps, today announced its newest
app, Fotopedia China, is now available on the App Store for iPhone, iPad
and iPod touch. Fotopedia China is optimized for the Retina display on
the new iPad with thousands of high-resolution, spectacular images of
this beautiful country.
With Fotopedia China, people can explore one of the oldest civilizations
in the world with images ranging from the famous wonders of the Great
Wall, the Forbidden City and Mount Everest, to lesser known gems such
as the colorful mirrored pools of Huanglong, ancient towns of Lijiang
and Tuojiang, temple grottoes of Yungang, sacred monasteries of Wutai
Mountain and Tibet’s Mount Kailash.
The app brings stunning photographs directly to the iPhone, iPad or iPod
touch to help you discover the country’s vast collection of treasures in
visual form. The poetry in the names of some of these places will sweep
you away, like Temple of Heaven, the Stone Forest, Tiger Leaping Gorge,
Reed Flute Cave, Elephant Trunk Hill or the White Cloud Temple.
“China is the #1 country for Fotopedia. Over 20% of our audience is in
China and that number jumps to 29% on iPad. Yet, when I look at the
growth, there is no question that China’s love story with iPad has just
begun,” said Jean-Marie Hullot, CEO of Fotopedia. “The world is
fascinated by China and so are we. That’s why we created this app and
made it free as well. I suggest you download it and see for yourself.”
The app features Visual Stories, published several times per week,
interactive maps and a Trip Builder, to create your own China adventure.
