Opera Web browser: Description and Functionalities

  • Password management – magic wand: this is a function for lazy people. While the password manager is nothing exceptional, the “magic wand” function is another story. Simply input a formula into Opera and surf to sites that require forms to be filled in like merchants, use the wand and all of the fields will be automatically entered. This is not an indispensable function, but is helps differentiate Opera from the other browsers.

  • Voice navigation: I have not tested this, but it is a “gadget” function for the moment, even if it is synonymous for a lot of people that have reduced abilities or are handicapped. From what I have read here and there, this is not yet completely to the point of functionality and you would be better off perfecting the language of Perfide Albion (with the accents) to be able to hope to take advantage of this function.

  • Mouse navigation: Well this is simply a question of taste. Personally I find this navigation method frustrating, old habits I guess. But just for you I have tested this and can tell you that it functions quite well and with little effort you get used to the different commands. The main points: the movement settings with the mouse to perform navigation actions like “Back”, “Forward” etc. You should be aware that this functionality is also available on certain “add-ons” for IE, like Maxthon for example.
