I tried to customise various photos by reducing or increasing the size by
dragging from an edge or corner. It just does not happen at present I have
done it many times before successfully. I even tried adjusting a previous
successful drag and it now does not work. I tried removing PS3 and
reinstalling but to no effect. Does anyone have a solution to the problem?

==There is no actual "Resize" option in PS3...

However...you can "Crop" an image in PS3...

To access the Crop tool...choose the "Remove Black Borders" option.
