PIVOT Charter School, a tuition-free Florida public school with
state-of-the-art learning centers in Fort Myers and Tampa, congratulates
its inaugural graduating class of 13 students. PIVOT offers its 240
full-time students a blended educational model that combines the best of
21st century online learning with one-on-one support from on-site
Florida-certified teachers.
PIVOT Fort Myers honored six graduates at its May 25 graduation at
Butterfly Estates in Fort Myers, Fla. Fort Myers graduates will be
attending colleges including Richard Stockton College (N.J.), Edison
Community College and Santa Fe Community College (N.M.). PIVOT Tampa
graduation was held June 6 at the Center Place Fine Arts and Civic
Center in Brandon, Fla. Six Tampa graduates will attend Hillsborough
Community College in the fall and one is exploring personal employment
options.
“PIVOT Charter School is excited to celebrate this milestone for our
program,” said Dr. Gary Iker, PIVOT Charter School executive director.
“We congratulate our first class of graduating seniors and commend them
for their hard work and dedication. We are confident that the tools and
techniques they learned in our program will help them continue to
achieve their goals going forward.”
PIVOT Charter School complies with all Florida graduation requirements
and offers a full middle and high school curriculum, including more than
15 Advanced Placement courses, a wide variety of electives and a service
learning option. Nationally recognized learning provider Advanced
Academics supplies the program’s learning management system, web-based
curriculum and online teaching staff.
