The first episode on all consoles sold more then four million copies, which was a rather surprising result. Is Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 capable of repeating this result? No one is ready to predict the results, but the game does have continuity and prudence on its side.
I will assure you that we aren’t here to talk about numbers, or to pump up Activision’s tires, but rather to mention the new features that can be seen in this new episode. Without a lot of surprise, the player takes control of numerous super heroes, controlling their movement on screen in the same way as all beat ‘em up games that we love.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 is based on the Marvel comics, and more precisely on the Civil War series as the games scenario has come about due to a Super-Human Registration Act passed, a law which notes all super heroes. This law divides the heroes into two sides, those that are for the law and those that are against it.

The player is free to choose the side that they want to join, providing them with a diverse and varied range of missions. Most of the time, this will involve destroying your opponents in very linear levels. Those that are allergic to combat and linear levels would be best off leaving this game pass them by, otherwise they may be greatly disappointed.
As a minimum, twenty four characters will be available, becoming unblocked over time. The concept is excessively straight forward, with you taking on one of the four heroes to take down the bad guys over the length of the game. With each success you will earn experience points which can then be redistributed to specific skills in each of your hero’s.
