Somewhere in the last two or three days, in another thread, one of the
gurus here mentioned how to turn on the quicklaunch area (the bit at the
left of the taskbar, near the Start button, where there are [or may be]
lots of little icons).
I followed his instructions out of curiosity, and found I had already
had the quicklaunch area turned on; I turned it off and back on again.
(What follows is not the fault of that guru!)
Previously, all the icons in my quicklaunch area were visible, with the
space for buttons for running tasks reduced as a result.
But now after turning off and back on my quicklaunch area, it has come
back at only three icons wide, with a bar labelled ">>" next to them; if
I click that (left or right click), my remaining QL icons pop up as a
pop-up menu (actually with text beside them that says what they are),
but this pop-up menu disappears if I do anything else.
Any idea how to get back to all my QL icons being visible, with no ">>"
(I have a double-height taskbar, so I actually see six not three QL
icons, but I don't think that affects things. FWIW, I have the taskbar
at the bottom of the screen/desktop, i. e. the default.)
