Refine your Google search results

March 21st, 2008 - 05:10 am ET by D. T.

While it is possible to refine the results from a Google search by adding keywords if you wish, it is also possible to remove results that have no interest to you.

After having started your Internet browser and gone to the Google page, enter the search words followed by the keywords that you want to filter by adding the ‘-’ symbol between each of them.

For example, if you want to know more about cigarettes but not necessarily where to purchase them, you simply need to perform the following search: “cigarettes –buy –purchase”.

This tip is easy to implement, and is very practical as it allows you to sort out a large number of useless pages.
