ShadowProtect Desktop comes with the Hardware Independent Restore (HIR) technology which provides easy and super-fast restores of a system to different hardware platforms in addition to and from a virtual environment (P2P, P2V, V2P and V2V). This is a restore which will allow you to find your exact computer configuration and personal settings.
Super-fast Restoration and consolidation of your backup’s
The application distinguishes itself on two important points. The first is the speed that it restores a system, with only a few minutes required for even terabytes of data! The second point, which is just as important, is its reliability. ShadowProtect verifies and re-verifies, depending on your selected settings (daily, weekly, monthly) the backup image chains to be sure of your files integrity.
HeadStart Restore (HSR) and VirtualBoot Technology
In the event you lose information, the HeadStart Restore (HSR) system automatically recovers your backup points on a virtual machine. From here, during the restoration phase, the user can start their machine from a *.VHD or *.VMDK file (Virtual Machine Disk) and continue working while the physical server is being repaired and restored! Another remarkable point is that ShadowProtect allows you to convert a drive image (in the *.SPF format) and use it in a virtual machine of your choice including on a removable drive, like VirtualPC, VirtuaBox or VMware, thanks to the VirtualBoot technology and the included conversion tool.
