Microsoft has delivered a third preview release for the Internet Explorer 9 platform, natively HTML5 video with the H.264 codec and Canvas technology.

Microsoft has confirmed that they will be implementing HTML 5, while stating that Internet Explorer 9 will only support H.264 video. Adobe’s Flash has been left on the sidelines… again.

Vid.ly: universal URL for all video formats
Encoding.com is offering a new service nicknamed Vid.ly to allow users to watch videos in a format optimised for browsers and mobile devices. A single, universal URL will then be available to the end user.
