Use Safari's private browsing mode

October 08th, 2008 - 05:15 am ET by D. T.

Safari, the web browser developed by Apple for the Windows and Mac environments, has an integrated private browsing mode.

Simply, this function is used to remove traces of your browsing, which include the history of visitied internet pages, input searches into Google/Yahoo and download history. It also prevents saving data for the automatic completion of forms.

To activate this it is very simple. Firstly launch the program, then go to the Edit menu and click on "Private browsing…”.

A confirmation window will open reminding you exactly what this browsing mode entails. Click on OK to confirm. To disable it, do the same thing but uncheck the option.

It should be noted that this mode has to be activated each time you restart Safari.
