I have a Server running 2003 Small Business server, I recently upgaded with
a fresh install my Dell 490 Workstation that has 2 processors to Win 7 x64. I
cannot run the SBS Connector for remote access, give me a mesage that the
Processor Arch. is incorrect. I know hat with WIN7 x32 it works but am not
able to run it on the x64 version. Can anyone guide me in the correct
direction?

Hi D.Sweet,

Thanks for your reply and Kerry's advice.

Glad to know the work round that manually created VPN connection works fine on 64 bit Windows 7 client.

This issue is by design and actually occurs not only to 64 bit Windows 7 client, but also to other 64 bit OS client including Windows Vista. A good work round is to create a
VPN connection manually instead of using the VPN connector that created by SBS connecting computer wizard. Because the Connection Manager Administration Kit (CMAK)
installed on the SBS Server(location is C:\programs files\CMAK\cmak.exe) is for 32 bit program and the created service profile for client computer is 32 bit too.

You must install CMAK on a computer that is running the same processor architecture as the computers on which you want to install the profile. To create a profile for a 64-bit
version of Windows, then you must create the profile on a computer that is running 64-bit version of Windows, such as Windows Server 2008 R2. To create a profile for a 32-
bit version of Windows, then you must create the profile by using CMAK on computer that is running a 32-bit version of Windows. You can install CMAK on the 32-bit version of
Windows 7 as an optional feature. (see: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/...y/dd672667(WS.10).aspx and http://www.isaserver.org/img/upl/vp...2/cmak.htm )
