SchoolForce Supports Louisiana Recovery School District’s New Enrollment Solution, Matches Students to Top School Choice

Acumen Solutions, the trusted leader in Enterprise Cloud Transformation, today announced the successful implementation of the Louisiana Recovery School District’s (RSD) OneApp enrollment initiative leveraging the SchoolForce™ platform. SchoolForce, a cloud-based student performance management and instructional improvement application, was created by Acumen Solutions to serve the needs of public K-12 schools seeking to improve student outcomes through better data management and sharing.

To meet the needs of the RSD, Acumen Solutions developed an enrollment technology solution to collect and store student application data, enabling the RSD to centralize student enrollment and provide parents with an easy and navigable system for choosing the right school for each student.

SchoolForce, a software as a service solution that automates the full life-cycle of school operations and ties data together in an easy-to-use, open platform, allows parents, teachers, and administrators to make informed decisions based on individual and school-wide performance trends. Using the student record management of the SchoolForce platform, the OneApp solution has achieved extraordinary results in its first year of use.

With Acumen Solutions’ support to design and launch the OneApp student application technology solution, the Recovery School District was able to successfully deliver on an important commitment to the greater New Orleans community – making it easier for families to enroll their children in their public school of choice. Early reports indicate that the project was well received by RSD families and that approximately 84 percent of entering kindergarten and rising ninth grade applicants were matched to one of their top three school choices. In non-transition grades, 76.4 percent of students were matched to one of their top three choices.

The OneApp enrollment solution is available to all districts interested in enabling public school choice.

Administered by the Louisiana Department of Education, the RSD is a special school district created to take underperforming schools and transform them into successful places for children to learn.
