I foolishly installed Oracle linux, think that since Larry
had taken over Sun (among others) that Java might work
better with Oracle linux.
So I got the jdk rpm.bin and found most components are
setup properly, except the JAVA command.
It was still linked to "gij" the GNU alternative java,
and since that is only 1.4.2, some programs chuck a tantie
that java is too old.
I know I complain about a free product, but why should I pay
Oracle for anything when they are a bunch of clowns?
