1. Web browser

Web browsers are already quite aware of the “toolbars” phenomenon. A multitude of these exist already in all forms (web search, multimedia, email). The toolbar offered by skype allows you to not only call your contacts that are online without leaving your web browser, but also gives you the ability to call a contact with SkypeOut directly to a fixed line or mobile telephone. The toolbar offered is available only for Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox.

In the email client domain, toolbars are less well known, with the toolbar offered here allowing you to call from your address book a contact if you have inputted their skype username.
