Software AG Appoints John Johnson as President of its U.S. Operations

Software AG today announced that it has appointed John (Jay) Johnson as President of Software AG USA, Inc. and Member of the Group Executive Board of the company as of August 1, 2012. The appointment of Mr. Johnson is an acknowledgement of the importance of the U.S. market to the company and a further step in Software AG’s U.S. expansion program. It follows the acquisition of the Big Data company Terracotta in Silicon Valley and the recent relocation of the company’s marketing and M&A operations to the U.S.

Mr. Johnson was previously Senior Vice-President at MicroStrategy where he was responsible for leading the North American sales force. Before that he was also Senior Vice President at SAP Business Objects.

Mr. Johnson brings more than 20 years of experience in the area of software for business analytics and intelligence with him.
