SolidFire,
a provider of all-solid-state (SSD) primary storage systems for cloud
service providers, today announced that the company will be exhibiting
at the Cloud
Expo Conference, taking place in Santa Clara, November 7-10, 2011.
On Thursday, November 10, 9:55 to 10:40 a.m. Pacific Time, Adam
Carter, the company’s director of product management, will present a
session titled “Benefits
of All-SSD Architectures in the Cloud” based on his experience from
companies such as SolidFire, LeftHand Networks, HP, and VMware.
Carter’s session will look at different methods and benefits of using
SSDs for high-performance, primary storage within the cloud. It will
explain specific requirements of cloud infrastructures and why they need
"better" storage designed with the cloud in mind. He will talk about the
latest advances in SSD-based technologies that allow cloud providers to
guarantee quality of service, increase system efficiency, and fully
automate management, which are vital for their businesses.
This week, just in time for Cloud Expo, SolidFire has announced $25
million in Series B funding, bringing the total funding amount to
$37 million for this two-year old startup. To find out more, visit
