The Taiwanese manufacturer Sparkle has released two GeForce GT 240 graphics cards which stand out for their cooling system aimed at removing dust.
Sparkle has presented two new video cards operating the NVIDIA GeForce GT 240 graphics chipset over clocked to 630 MHz. Part of the Calibre range, these carry the reference X240 and X240G, carrying 512 MB and 1 GB of GDDR5 memory respectively with a 128 bit interface. Compatibles DirectX 10.1, these cards offer triple HDMI/DVI/VGA video output.
The originality of these cards is their cooling system. They are equipped with a 9 centimetre diameter fan, not 8cm, with a double blade system for more powerful air movement.
While the device is already atypical, we can add that when the computer starts the blades turn in a clockwise direction for 30 seconds before reversing to an anticlockwise direction. A red/green LED light symbolises this strange implementation, with the aim being to expulse dust from the cooling systems internal workings to prevent the gradual accumulation of dust.

These cards will soon be available for an as yet unknown price.
