Mr. Wicker, who serves TE in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic states, began his term on July 1, 2011. In his new role, he will be responsible for developing subject material and location logistics for monthly meetings. The goal of the meetings will be to promote engineering and communication standards in the imaging business, and to include discussions relating to the presentation of engineering papers. In addition to planning some of the meetings during the two year term, Mr. Wicker also will be responsible for exposing the broadcast industry to new technology and promoting membership within the industry.

“I’m excited to represent TE as one of the managers leading Atlanta’s SMPTE chapter,” said Mr. Wicker. “My years of experience in network technologies and deep understanding of engineering infrastructures as well as the broadcast and engineering market, makes me a unique member of the SMPTE. I’m excited to bring both areas of expertise to the team.”
