Optoma HD81 In the video projectors market, it is the LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) and DLP™ (Digital Light Processing) technologies that are used. Each of these has its advantages and disadvantages. The third technology, three tubes, is becoming rarer in the current market.

For  use at home, the LCD and DLP™ technologies seem to be about the same, both from the models that are available and in terms of price. These technologies benefit from a wide range of technologies that treat the video so that it can provide a much better picture definition.

But some people will no doubt be asking why you would take a projector television over an LCD or Plasma? Simply because at this time, it is the only device that allows you to keep a good picture definition without limiting the size of the projected image, with it being possible to, for example, have a 4 meter picture that is perfect. Besides this aspect, the possibilities of moving he device into a dedicated Home Cinema room is a lot easier then with the screens, no matter which technology they are  using.
