The Archos interface has been particularly well thought out. It is extremely simple and 2 menus made up of large icons allow you to access most of the devices functions.

The primary menu allows for easy use of the Archos 604, with the icons being, in order, watch a video, listen to music, look at photos, explore the contents of the hard drive, restart after going into hibernations, record and finally use the Dictaphone.

The second menu is dedicated to the devices settings. Still through the intuitive icons, this allows you to set your language, display, appearance, clock, power supply, TV control and system.

The pick up of the Archos 604 is done quite easily. For users that are familiar with this kind of device then it should only take about 10 minutes to find there way around, while others may need a little more time to familiarise themselves with the functions of the 604. Finally, during its use, the double functions buttons that we spoke about at the beginning of the article also have their own functions depending on the mode being used (video, audio, photo). These can be seen from the following schema which describes everything in detail.
