Comparison of seven ventilation systems

A key element in the cooling of a processor, heat sinks and fans have seen a number of improvements from the manufacturers to always push air cooling to its limits. Whether with the goal of reducing noise, to obtain better performance, both or even perform over clocking, today we will look at these seven models of fans.

After these tests, our favourite was without a doubt the HR-01 which offers a high level of performance. Without forgetting that it is not necessary to remove the motherboard to install a retention plate at the back, this is unfortunately often the case today. The HR-01 is a passive heat sink, which means that to use it you must have good air circulation around the inside of the case.

For the rest, it is difficult to choose between them as their performance is similar. Nevertheless, other characteristics come into place and we found that the Scythe Infinity was unnecessarily heavy, and even dangerous if you move a lot for LAN parties. The Asus Silent Square doesn’t offer any real interest as its price is too high when compared to the Scythe Mine or the Vapochill Micro Extreme Performance which overall offers better performance.

But the big surprise was without a doubt the TITAN TTC-NK34TZ which, despite it not being easy to install, offers an excellent price/performance rapport.
